Plot: Sushil Kumar Pant aka S.K (Shahid Kapoor), Lalita Nautiyal aka Nauti (Shraddha Kapoor) & Sundar Mohan Tripathi (Divyendu Sharma) are childhood best friends and as Bollywood world friendship turned into Love but both the guys love Nauti and Nauti choose Sundar Mohan in the results S.K got anger and separated from both, on the other side Sundar Mohan who recently started up a new setup is suffering from high electricity bills issue from 1.5lac to 3lac to 54 lac and trying to seek help from government departments etc.. Nobody listens him including his childhood friend S.K who is an advocate but denies to fight for him and helplessness turned into Sundar Mohan suicide.
S.K who is regretted takes a step and files a case against Electricity Company, what goes next got unfold by the climax but that’s very touching.
Screenplay: Screenplay is very nice a bit dragged due to the detailing director tried to focus but screenplay never makes you feel detached from the movie.
Dialogues: Garima Vahal’s dialogues are so fresh and funny that you can’t ignore them whether its about comedy, sentiments or aggressive.
Performances: Shahid Kapoor is a natural actor who doesn’t let you feel that he is a Mumbaiyaa not a Tihri Vasi due to the dialect he hold s and screen presence he makes throughout the movie. Shraddha Kapoor supports Shahid Kapoor upto next level with her awesome performance but stop stop stop… the best is yet to come the Ace Performance is given by Divyendu Sharma, what a performance he has given is just outstanding.
Direction: Shree Narayan Singh direction and editing is commendable and he proved that nobody can light up the social issues easier than, Full marks to the direction.
Cinematography: Uttrakhand is the place where nature has showered its beauty limitless as there are hills, weather, Ganga and the innocence people have. Director smartly chose Tihri and gave an blissful shots so be ready for natural beauty too.
Music: Anu Malik and Rochak Kohli gave some dance numbers and meditative ‘Har Har Gange’ which you’d love when comes in the movie.
Final verdict: Batti Gul Meter Chalu is a family movie and based on a basic social issue which everyone is facing nowadays. Climax forces you to clap for sure.
