Plot: Murad (Ranveer Singh) and Safeena (Alia Bhatt) love each other from childhood and Murad loves to write rap along with studying in final year. In the college he sees M.C Sher (Siddhant Chaturvedi) on the stage when he is rapping and Murad gets in touch with him. Murad starts rapping and finally the day comes when his first video gets uploaded on youtube with Sher’s help. From this video Sky (Kalki Koechlin) meets Murad & Sher and she is studying music in USA. She wants to produce their video and its ‘Mere Gully Mein‘ which gets viral.
Then there is alot of good rap/music and an inspiring scenes which lead you to the climax which is electrifying.
Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti’s screenplay is addicted, as the story moves you get more involved and entertained. 5/5 for screenplay.
Ranveer as Murad Shaikh has given a next level performance, he has broken his own record of Khilji’s one. Rest you can go and check him out.
Alia Bhatt as Safeena Ali is as good as always, she shines as Mumbaikar girl with tongue, expressions and dialogues.
Siddhant Chaturvedi is equally good as above both while it is his debut but there is nothing less than a legend he has shown on the screen.
apart from these prominent characters there are Kalki Koechlin, Vijay Raaz, Sheeba Chadha & Vijay Varma who have made it even more larger.
VIjay Maurya’s dialogues are heavy, rich in content and to the point… and Bohat Hard!
Ziya Akhtar is getting better and better with her each release and this one is her best work till date… and i would say Uska Time Kabhi Nahi Jayega… 🙂 Direction is the lead hero/heroine of Gully Boy.
