Halahal Movie Review: A bitter truth on ‘Vyapam Scam’ and an edge-of-the-seat thriller.

Bollywood Movie Review

Halahal, a story based on India’s biggest scam on the Education system ‘Vyapam Scam’. The film is starring Barun Sobti and Sachin Khedekar in important roles. Halahal is a well-written story by Zeishan Quadri and an awesome direction by the first time director ‘Randeep Jha’. Barun Sobti has done a great job and opens up many big doors for him by giving this quirky performance. Sachin Khedekar gets equal space and looks so natural.

The film is based on a girl’s death mystery name Archana, who got died in a road accident near her college campus. The college and the district police show it as a suicide. But Archana’s father Dr. Shiv (Played by Sachin Khedekar) believes that his daughter can’t commit suicide and it’s a murder.

Dr. Shiv tries to find out the truth behind his daughter’s death and gets many warnings to stay away from this uproar. He then meets a corrupt, alcoholic, and comic cop Yusuf (Barun Sobti) and seeks help. Yusuf, for money, starts investing the case and sees everyone is talking about a Pen Drive but no one knows where it is. Now the case belongs to that pen drive only and everyone is behind that pen drive. The pen drive has the list of scammers in this Educational scam and also clue of Archana’s death.

Now both Dr. Shiv and Police Officer Yusuf dig it to the hell to find out the pen drive but do they get it or not? What about Archana’s death truth and how does it connect to the pen drive? all these questions are wrapped up in the climax of Halahal.

The Last Word: Halahal is an edge-of-the-seat thrill that holds you till its eye-opener climax. Highly Recommended!
