Rating:
Plus Points:
- Nice romantic story
- Few ultimate comic frames
- Gets few more fresh talents as Ananya Pandey & Aditya Seal entered into the industry
- Charming and honest character of Ananya Pandey
- Songs make it more impacting
Minus Points:
- Seems childish at some points
- Traditional climax
Plot: Rohan (Tiger Shroff) studies in Pishori Lal college but her childhood girlfriend Mia (Tara Sutaria) now moved to St. Teresa college. Rohan has a dream to migrate to that college and be with his love interest. St. Teresa is made for big riches guys and Rohan belongs to middle scale family but he gets admission in St. Teresa on spots quota.
Now here he meets with Manav (Aditya Seal) and his sister Shreya (Ananya Pandey) and drama begins here. Rohan gets some issue with both these siblings and what happens with Rohan – Mia relationship and student of the year trophy gets unfolded by the climax.
Screenplay: Screenplay of Student of The Year 2 is simple and engaging.
Performances:
- Tiger Shroff is good with his performance but nothing new in his performance and looks.
- Ananya Pandey looks beautiful and nailed with her debut performance.
- Tara Sutaria leaves her mark but due to the character given to her she looks dull
- Aditya Seal as Manav Randhawa also looks promising as antagonist
Direction: Punit Malhotra’s direction is good as he looks more mature than his previous attempts.
Music: Vishal-Shekhar has given few solid tracks to Student of The Year 2 with their music and all the songs fit well in the story. Salim-Sulaiman background score also supports the plot.
Final Verdict: Student of The Year 2 seems childish at few points but still entertains you with some fresh comic scenes and unique love triangle.
