- Unique script with lots of emotions and humor
- Ace level performances by Tabu, Ajay Devgn and RakulPreet
- Simply superb dialogues writing put a cherry on the cake
- Few cameos/extended cameos make it more interesting
- A bit of dragged and overreacting pre interval portion but that’s easily negligible
- Wastage of talent like Jimmy Sheirgill and Aloknath
- Rest is superb (y)
Ashish (Ajay Devgn) , 50 years old rich, separated & well settled in U.K, meets Ayesha, a 24 years girl, in a mutual friend’s marriage. Both start spending time each other and of course fall in love. Ashish thinks he should inform his family and ex-wife Manju (Tabu) about his relationship with Ayesha.
To do so he takes Ayesha to meet his family in India and circus starts from here. This post interval span totally nailed with the comedy and emotions. What happens with Ashish-Ayesha relationship and how his family react on his new relationship is the crunch of the plot. ENJOY this in the theater!
Screenplay: De De Pyaar De has simple, interesting and engaging screenplay. It mainly gets divided into two parts one of Ashish-Ayesha romance which is covered into first half. Second half is exact roller-coaster ride which shows fights, emotions and melodrama between all the main characters.
Tabu: Tabu as Manju comes in the second half but overtakes everything, she is simply superb. The character given to her and the way she played it is outstanding.
Ajay Devgn: The man is given a character of rich but cool and intelligent separated from the family. How he deals with the situations with his ex-wife, his current lover and his children is extra ordinary.
Rakul Preet: This is third film of the lady after Yaariyan and Aiyaary but ‘De DePyaar De’ is a actually will be remembered as her debut job. She is also superfine as a lover of a 50 years old man. She remains totally in the character till the last frame.
Direction: Akiv Ali, who has started his career as director from ‘De De Pyaar De’, has nailed with the direction and gets full marks.
Music: Music of the film is given by various artists and all the songs are nicely done and well placed into the plot.
Final Verdict: ‘De De Pyaar De’ is has bundle of mixed emotions and everything is fully topped. It will make you die laughing and sentimental when comes to the climax. Luv Ranjan has packed the script with a solid message of relationships and family. De De Pyaar De is a must watch for classes!
