Plot: Mr Rakesh Singh aka Rocky (Emraan Hashmi) is an examination fixer, cheats with the system by swiping genuine candidates with his duplicate candidates and makes money. Satyender aka Sattu (Snighadeep Chatterjee) – brother of Nupur (Shreya Dhanwanthary), is intelligent and got attention of Rocky, start working for him. After making too much money Sattu is now in depression and start taking drugs. On the other hand Nupur fallen in love with Rocky. But Rocky is now shifted to Mumbai and started scamming MBA exams after ignoring Sattu and Nupur.
In Mumbai, after 3-4 years Nupur met Rocky again and story took a new direction and love story begins. In the end Rocky got busted but when and how – is the climax of the story.
Screenplay: Screenplay is boring, weak and directionless. You see another story in the second half but that too screws you. Last 20 minutes value for your money but that is not enough to pay 200′- for.
Performances: Emraan Hashmi is okay with his job but not superb as he looks dull.
Shreya Dhanwanthary as debutant doesn’t look that appealing and attractive.
Snighadeep Chatterjee gives good support and looks honest as Satyendra aka Sattu.
Direction: Soumik Sen direction seems bad as Why Cheat India doesn’t entertain you and things look scattered.
Music: Various artists have given the music and apart from remake ‘Dil Mein Ho Tum’, nothing remembers.
Final Verdict: Why Cheat India is of course a unique but directionless story. Poorer screenplay makes you sleepy and bore.
