Another Bollywood legend’s son steps into the film industry from Zee 5 original web film ‘Bamfaad’. Yeah, it’s Aditya Rawal, son of legendary actor Paresh Rawal, whose debut film is released on Zee 5.
Quick Review: ‘Bamfaad’ is an average love story set on the backdrop of Allahabad (U.P). But Aditya Rawal as fresher has nailed it with the Allahabad guy character ‘Nasir Jamal aka Naate’. The film has solid star cast like Vijay Varma, Jatin Sarna, and Shalini Pandey. But Vijay Varma and Jatin Sarna’s characters could have been more sharpened.
Plot: Nasir Jamal aka Naate (Aditya Rawal) is a daring guy and son of a rich man who has political links. Neelam (Shalini Pandey) is a kept woman of Jigar Faridi (Vijay Varma) and Jigar has not only solid political links but also a big name as a don. Nasir and Neelam meet accidentally and both fall in love with each other while Nasir doesn’t know about Neelam’s relation with Jigar Faridi. Nasir comes to know about the relation and Neelam’s true love for him. Nasir warns Jigar about staying away from Neelam. Jigar traps Nasir with help of Nasir’s friend Zahid (Jatin Sarna) and Nasir is a murderer now. Both Neelam and Nasir leave the city and run away as Police are searching for both in the city. Neelam gets caught by Police in Lucknow so Nasir comes back to Allahabad in search of her. But here in Allahabad not only Police but Jigar Faridi have been also waiting for him.
Now both Jigar Faridi and Nasir Jamal are in front of each other but what happens to their fight, and whom Neelam chooses, is the climax of Bamfaad.
Aditya Rawal as Nasir Jamal aka Naate is quite impressive as a debutant. He catches the Allahabadi dialect very smoothly.
Shalini Pandey as Neelam is good and looks very pretty as she always looks like.
Vijay Varma as Jigar Faridi is good but as his last few choices this one also an underdog character for the actor like Vijay Varma.
Jatin Sarna as Zahid is fine as per the scope of his character.
Story, Screenplay & Direction: Ranjan Chandel is the man behind all these three things and he has written an okay love story along with Hanzalah Shahid. But his direction and screenplay are superb. The screenplay is connecting with minor mistakes while the direction is awesome.
Music: All the tracks of Bamfaad are nicely done by Vishal Mishra but my favorite is a Qawalli sung by Sukhwinder Singh. But you will love all the tracks.
The Last Word: In this quarantine time of Corona Virus the only thing moviegoers have is OTT. So ‘Bamfaad’ is a good watch for Aditya Rawal’s debut performance.
