‘Guilty’ fame director Ruchi Narain along with Ashutosh Shah & Taher Shabbir has brought the cop web series in this cop centric films/web series era titled ‘Hundred’. The series has Lara Dutta, Rinku Rajguru, Karan Wahi, Sudhanshu Pandey, and Parmeet Sethi in the pivotal roles. The series has no such missions to arrest some terrorist groups and abort their mission etc… But the story revolves around two ladies ACP Saumya Shukla (Lara Dutta) and Netra Patil (Rinku Rajguru). ACP Saumya Dutta is just seeking for the credits of her bravery and intelligence while Netra has just 100 days left of her life. Now both of these naughty brains meet and Hungama starts.
The series, of course, has no such deep sense but a fun ride of two failures and I liked it.
Plot: ACP Saumya Shukla is married to DCP Parveen Shukla (Sudhanshu Pandey). She doesn’t get the credits of her bravery and missions due to male dominating politics by his husband and DCP Abhimanyu (Parmeet Sethi). On the other side, Netra Patil is just coming to know about her brain tumor and she only has 100 days to live. She wants to live the rest of her life as an adventure. Both Netra and Saumya meet accidentally and Saumya hears her story. Now they both a made team and Netra starts working for Saumya as her informer due to fun she wants in her life now.
Saumya is using the girl for her real-time missions to get credits and promotions. Saumya also has a struggling Haryanvi rapper Manohar Dahiya (Karan Wahi) as her informer. So what happens to Saumya’s seeking of credits and promotions and Netra’s life? All these answers are hidden in the climax.
Lara Dutta as ACP Saumya Shukla has done a good job but she looks a woman now, lol.
Rinku Rajguru as Netra Patil is the best thing about the ‘Hundred’ web series and her character, acting, and expressions are so loving. You can say the series is all about her and rest is as supporting cast.
Karan Wahi as Manohar Dahiya is very good and leaves his marks but his character seems to be written half baked.
Sudhanshu Pandey as DCP Parveen Shukla is as normal as always, he just looks okay.
Parmeet Sethi as DCP Abhimanyu is good and has a wider scope than Sudhanshu Pandey.
The rest of the star cast is good enough to support this main cast.
Direction: ‘Hundred’ is a series directed by three directors Ruchi Narain, Ashutosh Shah & Taher Shabbir. Sometimes direction seems well but sometimes it just lost the focus and doesn’t show what it promises. But overall it’s fair enough.
The Last Word: ‘Hundred’ is a fun ride with a few deep messages of ‘Living your life with no fear’ and feminism. A good watch especially for the Rinku Rajguru and Karan Wahis’ characters.
