‘She’ Netflix Web Series Review: Arif Ali and Avinash Das have made a disaster of this weakest ever script by Imtiaz Ali.

Web Series Review

Imtiaz Ali is well known for his fresh angle of romance he adds up into his movies. The youth loves the way he tells his stories through his movies. But the most obvious thing about his movies is ‘Women’. Yeah, pick up any of his films randomly and you’ll see the value he adds-on his women characters are amazing. Whether it’s ‘Geet’ from ‘Jab We Met’ who teaches life lessons to Aditya in a very innocent cum intelligent way. Or pick up ‘Tara’ from ‘Tamasha’, who lets ‘Ved’ know about his art and so as ‘Heer’ from ‘Rockstar’ and ‘Veera’ from ‘Highway’.

These Bollywood movies got postponed due to CORONA VIRUS.

After Imtiaz’s recent release ‘Love Aaj Kal’, he came back very early with the new web series on Netflix titled ‘She’. This got aired yesterday on Netflix. ‘She’ is again a sample of woman empowerment by Imtiaz Ali but this time he failed very badly. The series is written and co-produced by Imtiaz Ali but directed by his brother Arif Ali along with Avinash Das.

Guilty Review: Despite Kiara’s charming act, poor direction and screenplay don’t make it worth watching.

‘She’ is the story of a very simple woman Bhumika Pardeshi (Aditi Pohankar), who is a police constable but picked up by an intelligence agency for some undercover mission. This mission is about an international drug deal that is going to happen in Mumbai. And Bhumika Pardeshi who feels underrate in each corner of her life ready to go on the mission. She goes under special training and ready to be a prostitute to trap Sasya (Vijay Varma). Sasya is leading this narcotic deal. After she trapped Sasya with her smartness and spontaneousness, the story starts getting ruined with some elongated and illogical layers. And, ‘She’ starts making you bore with each episode; with starting of 6th episode it starts torture you and becomes unbearable.

Corona Virus India: Kartik Aaryan appeals to the public to stay isolated in his Pyaar Ka Punchnama character style.

Talent like Vijay Varma has been perfectly wasted by director Arif Ali and Avinash Das in this weakest script of Imtiaz Ali. ‘She’ could have been a bit better if it would have presented as a film. Vishwas Kini as Officer Fernandez doesn’t make any impact and seems weak.

Love Aaj Kal Movie Review: Imtiaz Ali knows the romantic pulse of each generation, good attempt but lacks unlike older one.

The Last Word: In this Corona season when everyone is quarantined at home even then I would not suggest you watch this Netflix web series ‘She’, try anything else instead. Stay tuned for latest Bollywood Movies/Web Series reviews and teaser/trailer reactions.
