Special Ops Web Series Review: Not extraordinary but a nice treat to Neeraj Pandey’s fans in his very spy style.

Amid this ‘No-News Phase’ due to Corona Outbreak lockdown in the whole country, there are few very special web-series to watch on the OTT. These series will not only pass your time but also enhance your taste. After Imtiaz Ali’s ‘She’ (on Netflix) and Arshad Warsi starrer ‘Asur: Welcome to Your Dark Side’, I came up with ‘Special Ops’. The series is aired on Hotstar Special on March 17, 2020.

Asur: Welcome To Your Dark Side, Web Series Review: It raises your standard to filter the stuff on the internet.

Director Neeraj Pandey, known for movies like ‘A Wednesday’ & ‘Baby’, put his touch in Special Ops but couldn’t make it large like his previous works. The story of ‘Special Ops’ seems very thin line but over-topped with many other layers which you’ll notice didn’t make any sense post-climax. There are undoubtedly a few moments that give Neeraj Pandey’s feel but the more you’ll be involved and it becomes predictable. Kay Kay Menon’s natural performance is worth watching along with Karan Tacker’s killer camera facing style. Sajjad Delafrooz also looks promising as antagonist hafiz Ali. Overall it’s an average web series to pass your time decently in this lockdown period due to Corona Virus.

‘She’ Netflix Web Series Review: Arif Ali and Avinash Das have made a disaster of this weakest ever script by Imtiaz Ali.

Special Ops starring Kay Kay Menon, Vinay Pathak, Karan Tacker, Meher Vij, Saiyami Kher, Sana Khan, Divya Dutta, and many more known faces.

Plot: Himmat Singh (Kay Kay Menon) is a RAW officer who has been trying to catch a suspect (Ikhlaq Khan), the mastermind of few major attacks in India for the last 13 years. There is an inquiry started on Himmat Singh about the funds he had been using for the last few years as no one admits there is any Ikhlaq Khan. Himmat Singh has his team of few undercover agents, who have been chasing Ikhlaq Khan from the last few years. Many other layers also remain active alongside Himmar Singh’s personal life, his police friend Abbas (Vinay Pathak) and his most favorite team-member Faaroq (Karan Tacker).

RRR Logo and Motion Poster Out: Level of VFX and water-fire concept by mentor SS Rajamouli will leave you stunned.

As we all know Neeraj Pandey loves to shoot in Middle-East countries and so as ‘Special Ops’. This one has also been shot in the Middle-East.

The Last Word: ‘Special Ops’ is an average web-series with less thrill but few outstanding performances.
